Annual Aquaflyers Sleepover Meet

The team sleepover meet this year is going to be at the Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor, CT.  Information about the hotel the team will be staying at and the Saturday night banquet will follow shortly.

Please let me know if your swimmers will or will not be attending the sleepover meet by 12/31/11.  The coaches encourage all swimmers to attend - it is a great experience!

The Doubletree Bradley has added 20 more rooms with two double beds and the cut off is 1/23/12 so people have time to make their reservation or change them.  The hotel apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused - they never had more than 20 rooms on Friday in the past

Friday Practice Schedule Changes -

Sharks & Barracudas

As mentioned last week, there is a change in Friday night practice

times due to a change in the diving schedule.  Starting tomorrow, practice times on Friday will be modified slightly.
 

Sharks will practice 7:00-8:00
Barracudas practice will stay the same

(5:30 dryland/practice 6:00-8:00)

New families with swimmers who tried out will receive a separate e-mail.

Practice begins the week of 9/19 for the Marlins/Rays/Sharks and Barracudas, and the the week of 9/26 for the Dolphins and Minnows.

There are High School swim meets on Tuesday the 20th and the 27th that will mean Dolphins and Marlins will not practice on those days.

Please read the attached Welcome Letter for information on registration and fees. As noted, Registration Forms and payment can be mailed in or brought the school Thursday 9/8 from 6-8PM.

No swimmer will be allowed in the pool without registration form and payment. Fees (minus USA registration fee) are refundable up to 2 weeks after the season starts.

A lot of effort has gone into team placement in order for your child to get the most out of this experience. You can see that the teams are very full and because of this, the coaches have the final say on team placement. Any consideration of changes will be after the first 2 weeks of practice when the coaches have a chance to assess the swimmers at practice.

If you decide that you are unable to participate at this time, please let us know as soon as possible, as we do have a waiting list.
